Jellyfish risk spread to Western and South-western seas

The Marine Environment Protection Authority requests the public to refrain from using the western, south-western and southern coastal areas as far as possible, since the jellyfish population which can cause allergic reaction, have increased in these areas.

If someone is exposed to this toxin, they should immediately come ashore, carefully remove the tentacles, wash the wound with vinegar or hot water without wiping it off, and immediately seek medical attention; the health authorities urged the public.
