Former Digamadulla District TNA Parliamentarian Piyasena who was arrested for allegedly misusing a vehicle belonging to the Prime Minister’s Office was yesterday further remanded until 9th September 2016 by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.
In the meantime , a bail application filed on behalf of the former MP was yesterday refused by Magistrate on the basis that there is no exceptional circumstances to release him on bail since he has been charged under Public Property Act.
