Foreign Travel Application by Dhammaloka Thera

Dhammaloka Thera is on bail over the illegal possession of an elephant calf and his passport has been impounded by the High Court. He has  today sought permission through a motion from the High Court to travel abroad for a Dhamma program in the UK. He sought permission for this foreign trip from September 3 to September 7.

The Attorney General wanted  to closely examine  the relevant documents before an opinion could be given.

High Court judge Nissanka Bandula Karunathilaka gave the attorney General time  till tomorrow to give his opinion on Dhammaloka Thera’s request to go abroad
