Ceylon Workers Congress Laid Down Condition to Recommence talk With Plantation Companies

As the plantation companies placed lesser salary increase of Rs 500, which is much less than what the unions demanded, CWC decided to lay  a condition of minimum salary increase of Rs 620  to recommence talk, which was dragged on for more than 17 months. In the meantime, plantation companies  said that the interim allowance paid on a contractual basis during the last 17 months is subject to recovery.
