Double Murder Suspect TMVP General Secretary Released on Bail

On October 23, 2015, Kaththankudi police arrested Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP) General Secretary and former Eastern Provincial Councilor, Poopalapillai Pubalasingham Prashanthan followed by a complaint made last by a sister of a victim, who is said to be an eyewitness to the murder. She has told police that she did not come forward with the information earlier due to fear for her life.

The suspect has been charged for a double murder at Arayampathy, Kaththankudi, on December 13th, 2008. He  was released on bail by Batticaloa High Court  yesterday
