War Crimes Accusation Against EPDP

A former member of the EPDP party by the name S. Ponnaiah,  held a media briefing in Jaffna on August 29 and claimed he knew information about most of the crimes that took place in the district.

EPDP leader Douglas Devananda has made a  written request to the IGP, asking that an investigation be held into certain allegations of war crimes levelled against his party.

MP Devananda said Ponnaiah had been removed from the EPDP due to his anti-social activities, corruption and fraud.

He added that his party would fully support such an investigation.
