Protest & Petition at UN Office

 UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is now in Srilanka on an official visit . To coin side with his arrival, the collective of National Organizations headed by Akmeemana Dayarathna Thera and Iththe Kande Saddhatissa Thera handed over a petition to the United Nations (UN) office in Colombo this morning, which is to be handed over to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urging the international community not to interfere in the internal affairs of Sri Lanka

.In the meantime, the joint opposition MPs including Bandula Gunawardana, Sisira Jayakody and Weerakumara Dissanayake handed over a petition on the same matter.
