Sarath Weerawansa Remanded (UPDATE)

The brother of United People’s Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa, Sarath Weerawansa remanded until 21st September 2016 by  Fort Magistrate’s Court short while ago.

Sarath Weerawansa Before Court 

The brother of United People’s Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa, Sarath Weerawansa, arrested and remanded till today, is due to be produced before the Fort Magistrate’s Court.

Sarath Weerawansa was arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division on charges of misusing state vehicles amounting to 10 million rupees during the term of the UPFA led government.

Weerawansa was arrested under the Public Property Act.
