Rauf Hakeem finally in the open against 20A

 

Minister Rauf Hakeem addressing a meeting in Jaffna today (22) stated that the current government is in power because of Minority Parties and that the 20th Amendment will see the end to minority representation in Parliament. He further stated that he was against the proposed electoral reforms and that all minority Parties will unite and express their disagreement with the reforms to the President.

The Minister also stated that measures are underway to expand the Iranamadu reservoir to farm another 40,000 acres with the help of the Asian Development Bank.

Deputy Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran and Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP’s Maawei Senadiraja and E. Sarawanabhawan were also present at this event to declare open the Northern office of the Water Supply and Drainage Board.
