Four State Enterprises to be Converted as Joint Venture with Private Sector

 

In reply to a question raised by a JVP parliamentarian Nalinda Jayatissa  Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe said that in the first instance Lanka Hospital , Srilankan Airlines, Hilton Hotels and Regencies, which are incurring losses will be converted into a Joint Venture with the private sector investors. Purpose of this effort is to make above organisation profitable. None of the employees will be affected by this collaboration.  Converted Joint Ventures will be made answerable to the Parliament, concluded Prime Minister.
