Relocation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs

 The Republic Building was built in the British colonial era, in which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently situated and has been identified as heritage that should be conserved.

Hence, Mangala Samaraweera,  has submitted a cabinet paper to relocate Minister of Foreign Affairs and got it approved.

The land of about two acres in Jawatta Road, Colombo has been identified to construct  a new building for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
