Minister of Industry and Commerce , Rishad Bathiudeen has invited Chinese investors to explore investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.
Speaking at the 13th China-ASEAN Expo currently underway in China, the Minister Rishad said Sri Lanka’s strategic location will provide business infrastructure among other facilities for foreign investments.
Rishad Bathiudeen led a strong 25-member trade delegation of exporters, business representatives and officials to China to take part in the 13th China-ASEAN Expo.
The 13th CAEXPO, co-sponsored by ministries and the department of commerce or industry and trade of China and the 10 ASEAN member states as well as the ASEAN Secretariat will be held in China from today. Having run for 12 consecutive years, CAEXPO attracts high-profiled participants from political and diplomatic circles.
Minister Rishad said Sri Lanka will join the 13th CAEXPO as a Special Guest Country.
A series of special guest country activities including a Sri Lanka pavilion, a national promotion conference and trade fairs will be held during the expo. The expo is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday.
