Two suspects were arrested over a robbery while both were granted bail. However one suspect has disappeared prior to the signing of the bail application.
A police inspector and four other policemen attached to the Hambantota Police Station had been issued with transfer orders in connection with the disappearance of a suspect in police custody.
They were transferred to Kataragama, Tangalle, Beliatta and Tissamaharama police stations.
