Shooting of a LTTE Cadre Cost 2 Million Compensation

The former Army Major was found guilty of shooting to death the LTTE cadre, who had attempted to flee the camp when it was overseen by him 18 years ago. The court has ordered to pay compensation of Rs 2 million  to the relatives of the deceased on or before 15 October this year.
Joint Opposition (JO) has under taken , on behalf of former Army Major Wimal Wickremage,to  pay a sum of two million rupees to the relatives of an LTTE cadre.
JO sources said that they have made arrangements to collect the compensation, as ordered by the Court, in front of the Dharmapala Statue in Homagama at 7 a.m. today.
