Maldives Invites Sri Lanka to Assist Them in Medical Field.

Maldivian Minster for Health, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim,  arrived in Sri Lanka for the World Health Organization (WHO) South and East Asian region’s 69th annual session had a meeting with the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicines.
Minister Senaratne was the  chief guest to the  conference on non-communicable diseases (NCD). Visiting Maldivian Minster for Health, Abdulla said, that the Sri Lankan Minister for Health had given much attention to non-communicable diseases and Sri Lanka has been praised about it by the WHO.
The Government of the Maldives proposed that Sri Lanka to provides education to  Maldivian medical students,to train Maldivian officers in the health sector in Srilanka and assist the Maldives to gain knowledge from Sri Lanka on establishing centres for blood transfusion.
