Weather Forecast for 16th September 2016

Fairly strong wind at times (up to 50kmph) is expected to continue over the North-central, Southern provinces and in the central hills.

Light showers will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces, and in the Galle and Kurunegala districts.

Thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Northern, Eastern, and Uva provinces after 2.00 p.m.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
