Zika Virus Alert for Pregnant Women

The Health Ministry warned expecting mothers today not to travel overseas following an outbreak of Zika virus in several countries including Asian destinations.

Health Service Director General,  Dr. Palitha Mahipala  addressing a media conference held in Colombo today (19) , said that the request is being made in order to prevent the Zika virus from spreading through the island.
