Weather Forecast for 20 th September 2016

Strong winds at times (up to 60 kmph) can be expected to continue over the Sothern, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Southern sea areas.

Mainly fair weather will continue over most parts of the island.

However, Light showers may occur at few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provincesand thundershowers will occur at a few places in the Uva, Eastern and North-central provinces after 2.00 p.m.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
