Uduwe Dhammaloka Thera Before Court Today

The case filed at the Colombo High Court against venerable Uduwe Dhammaloka thera for the illegal possession of an elephant calf will be taken up for hearing today(20).

The case was postponed until today, following a request made by the thera to travel overseas to attend a religious program in the United Kingdom.

Accordingly, the court released Dhammaloka thera’s impounded passport and granted approval to travel to the United Kingdom.

Followed by this , the Colombo High Court requested Uduwe Dhammaloka thera to be present before court during today’s hearing.
