Police Emergency Communication in North Through Telephone Calls

The Sri Lanka Police has introduced two numbers for the people in the North to make complaints and report emergencies in their own language.

The two numbers are: 076 – 6 224 949 and 076 – 6 226 363

This is implemented as part of an initiative embarked on in the North, under the directive of IGP Pujith Jayasundara, the Department of Government Information said.

The initiative themed ‘Peace, Co-existence, Reconciliation, and Communication’, will facilitate the people in Jaffna, Vavuniya, Mannar, Kilinochchi, Mulathivu, and Kankasanturai.
