LSSP Backs Rajapaksa’s New Party

Lanka Sama Samaja Party will support the new party to be launched by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s  factions, its General Secretary Tissa Vitharana said. Dullas Alahapperuma, member of the Joint Opposition invited JVP to join hands with the new party.

A group of local councilors backing Rajapaksa said yesterday  that the new party will definitely be launched on October 8. The symbol of the party is said to be the white lotus.
