Prices of 47 Medicinal Drugs Reduced

Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne said that the prices of 47 medicinal drugs was  reduced under the National Drugs Policy.

The Minister speaking at a media briefing  said that  the 47 drugs are related to diabetic and heart patients.

Minister Rajitha  said the public will be able to purchase drugs at an affordable rate under the Senaka Bibile National Drugs Policy.

The National Drugs Regulation Authority last month agreed to issue the gazette notification announcing the reduction in prices of pharmaceuticals by the 31st  August 2016 .

The reduction of the 47 medicines comes part of the first phase of the Senaka Bibile National Drugs Policy.
