Big Time Racketeers?  

Big Boss has promised “Mathata Thitha” temperance campaign while some of his Politicos helps in importing ethanol and releasing from customs. A large shipment   of ethanol consigned to a company owned by a close pal of this Politico that had arrived in the city harbour was sent to a warehouse recently. On inspection the Custom authorities have found the shipment worth around 500 million had been imported without a valid import licence. Custom authorities imposed a hefty fine amounting to several millions of rupees on the consignee. However, the business man went into quick action and contacted the political big wig, who got the ethanol consignment released with a nominal fine.
