Endangered Species Due to be Smuggled to SL Seized

Sea cucumbers are classified as endangered species and their harvest has been banned under the Wildlife Protection Act.
About 200 kilograms of sea cucumber, an endangered coral reef species, that was due to be smuggled to Sri Lanka has been seized at Mandapam, India.
The Press Trust of India said two youth have been arrested over the incident.
The Marine Police seized the dried sea cucumber yesterday.
