Uprising in Upcountry?

Followed by the failure in ninth round of talk between the upcountry trade unions and plantation companies, up country workers left their states and demonstrated on the streets, disrupting public transport. Pathana, Bogawatha estate workers have blocked Thalawakele Nawalapitiya main road yesterday and demonstrated. Further, estate workers at Wattawala Temples Dorf blocked Colombo main road at Rosolla and demonstrated and also at Hatton workers blocked public transport and demonstrated.

Younger generation of the estate workers appears to have been lost confidence and uprising.  Unless otherwise the estate trade unions and plantation companies come to an agreement soon, uprising in the estate sector cannot be completely ruled out.
