Three School Students Arrested

In Uduwara area in Ella, three school students have been arrested for allegedly stealing money and goods from a shop.

The students have cut the padlocks to get into the store last night. Money, biscuit packets, beverages and several other goods are among the stolen items, police said.

An investigation to arrest the suspects was launched following a complaint lodged by the shop owner, an official said. The suspects, aged between 14 and 16, are identified as residents of Uduwara area in Ella. They will be produced before a Magistrate today.
