CID Discovered 26 Human Body Parts at SAITM

The Criminal Investigations Department has taken into custody 26  body parts which were found at a private medical institute in Malabe during a search operation conducted yesterday (3).

The CID obtained a search warrant from the Colombo Magistrate’s Court yesterday to inspect the premises of the Malabe private medical university in connection with  alleged missing body parts of  rugby player,  Wasim Thajudeen.

A team of experts attached to the office of the Colombo Judicial Medical Officer also accompanied the CID officials.

 Laboratory tests will be conducted in the near future to identify the body parts. A special report will be produced in court following the tests.
