Air Traffic Controllers Association launched a Work-to-Rule Campaign

 The Air Traffic Controllers Association has launched a Work-to-Rule campaign over salary anomalies.
Accordingly, Air Traffic Controllers attached to the Katunayake, Mattala and Rathmalana airports are engaged in the campaign.
 The Airport and Aviation Services has taken measures to increase salaries of all divisions excluding the Air Traffic Controllers division, Chairman of the Association,  Tharanga Jayasuriya said.
He said the Work-to-Rule campaign was launched in protest of the exclusion.
The ATC Association said the campaign will be in effect until measures are taken to provide a solution to the issue.  The Chairman of the Association warned that there could be obstructions to Aviation Services.
In the meantime , the Katunayake International Airport said aviation services have not been obstructed. The Staff Manager of the BIA said all flights are in operation as scheduled.
