Reduction of Prices of 30 Medicines announced by Rajitha, Is It a Myth or Reality?

With the good intention Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne has publicly announced price reduction of 30 medicines in the recent past.  Srilankan press and electronic media has given wide publicity to this price reduction.

People had high expectation about this price reduction. But when people go to Pharmacies and request these medicines at reduced prices, pharmacists say that they have not been informed about the price reduction. Poor public is at the mercy of the Pharmacist and blamed the health authorities for not implementing the decision taken by the Government.

Who is deceiving the people? Price deduction of medicine is a myth or a reality? Public ask.
