Prasanna Ranatunga, Wife & Others to be Taken up for Hearing on 26th of January

The Colombo High Court today  (07)  announced that the case against United People’s Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian,  Prasanna Ranatunga, his wife and another individual will be taken up for hearing on the 26th of January next year.

Fifteen charges have been filed against the three including forcefully obtaining 64 million rupees form a businessman.

MP Prasanna Ranatunga and his wife surrendered to the Colombo High Court in June in connection with  the case pertaining to the land deal and were granted bail.

A case was filed against the duo, for allegedly obtaining the money from a businessman in return for a plot of land in Meethotamulla, Kolonnawa.
