New Online Mechanism to Government Servants

The Department of Pensions stated that a mechanism where government servants could register online to obtain their pensions will be put into effect starting today (8).

The mechanism was put into place in line with the celebrations of the National Pensioners Day that is marked today.

The government servants can log on to www.pensions.gov.lk and register online to obtain their pensions , said the Director General of the Department.

The National Pensioners Day was first announced in the year 2005.

The national Pensioners  day celebration will be held at the Pensioners’ Hall in Wedamulla, Kelaniya. Over 1000 pensioners from the 25 districts are due to participate in the event.
