FR Case Against PM’s Remarks Dismissed

 A lawyer filed  a Fundamental Rights petition  against the   Prime Minister’s remarks over Sinharasa case.

The Attorney General has inform the court should not interfere with the affairs of Parliament.  This is in accordance with Section 3 of the Parliament (Powers and Privileges) Act.

The three-judge-bench comprised Justice Buwaneka Aluvihare, Justice Priyantha Jayawardena and Justice Anil Goonaratne,  while refusing to grant leave to proceed with the case, three-judge-bench upheld the preliminary objections raised by Attorney General.
