Removal of Barriers to Appoint Women DIGs

 In the Police Force  a women can go up to the possession  of   Senior  Superintendents of Police  as per existing  police regulations  . The police commission has reviewed  this  regulation and revised it to accommodate  women in the post of DIGs.   Secretary to the Police Commission said there are 11,000 women police and 2  women SSP are in the Police Force  now.

Further,   having considered the difficulties faced by  women police officers  ,  the Police Commission  decided to appoint 9 Assistant Superintendents of Police  to  all  9  districts.
