Electric Train to be Introduced

Transport and civil aviation Ministry has revealed that with the help of Asian Development Bank electric train will be introduced in Srilanka’s transport sector. In the first phase electric train to be introduced   in  Western province. Already monitoring process has begun and expected to be completed in May next year. Followed by it  next phase will commence.

For these activities  we have  already received 1 million dollars out of 300 million dollars  assured  by the Asian Development bank.
