Emirates plane makes emergency landing at BIA

 

Emirates Airline Airbus A380 with 501 passengers onboard flying from Sydney to Dubai has made an emergency landing at the Bandaranaike International Airport early today due to a technical failure.

A spokesman for the airport said that flight AK-413 made an emergency landing at around 3.45am this morning.

The passengers of the plane have been taken to nearby hotels while they are expected to make passage to Dubai onboard other flights.
