CEB Engineers Contradicts Deputy Minister of Power Ajith P. Perera

In the recent past Ajith P. Perera said if there is no rain in near future Government will be compelled to impose power cut. CEB Engineers union Leader Athula Waniyarachi said, even if there is no rain in near future up to January we could provide power without imposing power cut. Nuraicholai plant is now producing 50% power need of the country.

Further, he welcomed importation electricity from India. However, he expressed his doubt about obtaining power from any other country, which may pose a threat to National Security.
