DMT to Issue New Smart Drivers Licences Soon

The Department of Motor Traffic has decided to issue smart Drivers licences, mounted with a chip that stores data, to those who currently possess the old licence.

DMT  commissioner general,  Jagath Chandrasiri said that at present, about 1.1 million old Drivers licences are in circulation in Srilanka.
