Court to Decide Lifting Foreign Traval Ban on Nissanka Senadhipathi

The travel ban on the Chairman of Avant Garde, Nissanka Senadhipathi, who is currently facing bribery charges was imposed by the court. The Attorney representing Nissanka Senadhipathi informed court recently that the Avant Garde Chairman has to travel to Singapore for medical treatment.

But the Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya said the stance of the Bribery Commission is necessary to grant permission. Accordingly, the Magistrate ordered the Bribery Commission to produce details in court.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption is scheduled to produce details pertaining to the request made by the Chairman of the Avant Garde Maritime Security Limited Nissanka Senadhipathi to travel overseas.
