Attanayake Accommodated in ‘Mora Ward’ In Prison
Just prior to the Presidential Election Former General Secretary of the United National Party (UNP), Tissa Attanayake a turn coat displayed a forged document said to be an agreement signed between Ranil Wickramasinghe and President Maithreepala Siresena .
A complain was lodged with the police against Former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake in this connection.
On conclusion he was indicted on three counts, for committing offences under the Penal Code, International Convention on Civil and Political Rights Act and Presidential Election Act. The Colombo High Court yesterday remanded former MP Tissa Attanayake until December 5.
Tissa Attanayake , who has been remanded was transferred to Prison ward M, which is nick named as ‘Mora ward’.
This ward is normally used to hold VIPs in prison . Namal Rajapakshe and Yoshitha Rajapaksa were in this M ward when they were taken into remand .
