Court To Decide On Extending Order Against ‘Silence In The Court’ Tomorrow

‘Silence In The Court’ film  was taken based on a true event  by Prasanna Vithanage.

The District Court issued the order on October 5 considering a petition filed by Magistrate Lenin Rathnayake,  who says that the film has damaged his reputation and that of the judiciary.

Eight respondents named in the petition today argued as to why the order should be vacated,  when the case was considered before Judge M.U. Gunawardena.

Colombo District Court fixed the order on whether to extend the injunction order against Prasanna Vithanage’s film ‘Usaviya Nihandayi’ (Silence in the Court) for tomorrow.
