Norochcholai Power Generation in Full Swing Operative Next Week

Last week, power generation at the Norochcholai coal power plant was interrupted  after all three units of the plant was shut down owing to a technical issue. The shut down also prompted island wide power cuts for two days.

The CEB said the technical fault reported in the transmitting line has been resolved. Further he said, while the issue at the second unit will be resolved on Sunday, all three units of the Lakvijaya coal power plant will be connected to the national power grid by next week.
