SAITM  Takes  Firm  Stand  on Body Parts  Removed

 SAITM Chairman, Nevil Fernando has categorically stated, that they are not responsible for body parts removed from SAITM recently.

Bodies in the custody of SAITM were removed by CID officers after obtaining court  order from the Magistrate.

There were no seal or stamp of the SAITM on boxes in which bodies were kept. But the seal of CID was there on the boxes.

The way body parts suspected to be that of Wasim Thajudeen removed is not satisfactory.  If it is to be taken, seal of both parties should be placed on the boxes.

CID’s act create  suspicion because they can open the box and introduce what they want.

We continue to cooperate with the investigation. But we are not responsible for the bodies removed from SAITM by the CID, he concluded.
