EU to Relocate 40K Refugees in 2 Years

European Union leaders on Thursday agreed to relocate 40,000 migrants who have arrived on the shores of Italy and Greece over the next two years, but no deal on a quota system was reached. EU Summit chairman Donald Tusk said there will be no mandatory quotas for each country.

The plan to resettle the refugees will be finalized by the end of July, according to Tusk. The leaders also agreed to relocate an additional 20,000 migrants from outside the EU.
