Reduction of 40 Medicine Prices Only Benefits Rich?

Free Health People’s Movement Convener, Nishantha Dassanayake said, in a press conference held today, that prices of high priced medicines were only reduced. Prices of other medicines on low prices had not been reduced. Hence, the benefit will go to the rich and not the poor. This price reduction will encourage production of medicines below specified standards.

Price reduction should not only be based on prices alone, but the standard too should be considered.
