Abandoned Elder’s Properties t be Taken Over by The Government?

While addressing a meeting in Battaramulla, Abeygama area Minister S.B.Dissanayake said, that elders who are abandoned by their children or relatives will be accommodated in elders homes run by the Social Services Department.  However, land and buildings or other assets belonged to them will be taken over by the Government.
