Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara while speaking at a felicitation ceremony organised by Batticaloa, Trincomalee and Ampara Police in Batticaloa on Tuesday said recruitment of Tamil-speaking personnel have been increased by 25 percent. “The people appreciate good governance in the country. National security has been established, and law and order has been restored,” the IGP said.
IGP Jayasundara said arrangements have been made to record complains in Tamil and to conduct inquires in Tamil.
“The number of Police stations will be increased from 467 to 600”, he also said.
