Weather Forecast For 4th November 2016

The depression in the Central Bay of Bengal now located about800 km to the Northeast of Sri Lanka. There is no direct effect on Sri Lanka. However showers or thundershowers at times and cloudy skies can be expected to continue at most parts of the island. Heavy falls (more than 100 mm) can be expected at some places, (particularly in the Southern, Central, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces) until 07^th November.

Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly, after 2.00 p.m.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
