Gemunu Threatens Strike Action on Traffic Congestion

President of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association (LPBOA), Gemunu Wijeratne said, that  traffic congestion in Colombo and surrounding  areas  created a big problem for private bus operators. Due to heavy traffic congestion in the morning bus travelling speed rate has come down to 4 kilo meters per hour. During  emergency situation this is worse.  He said that  Transport Authorities were informed of this,  but no solution found.
He requested the Government to resolve this traffic congestion issue before 15th November 2016. If not he will resort to  strike action. He refuse to understand the fact that traffic congestion in Colombo and surrounding areas cannot be  resolved over night.
