Law and Order and Southern Development Minister Sagala Ratnayaka yesterday ordered his Ministry Secretary Jagath Wijeweera to conduct a full scale investigation into an incident where a group of persons reported to be disable soldiers attempted to enter the Presidential Secretariat by force on Monday was dispersed by police using tear gas. He was ordered to be submit the relevant report on or before November 10.
The Ministry Secretary has been ordered to be submit the relevant report on or before November 10. Accordingly, a three member committee chaired by Senior DIG C.D. Wickremaratne has been appointed by Ministry Secretary.
