Australian Brian Shaddick Summoned By HC to Give Evidence Against Gammanpila
Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader Udaya Gammanpila faces two trials over financial fraud, based on complaints filed by Australian Brian Shaddick.
Gammanpila alleged to have forged documents and transferred assets of Shaddick and his wife.On complaint made by the couple, police investigated and filed a case in the Colombo High Court. He was arrested and remanded. Later he was released on bail and the High Court also allowed Gammanpila to travel abroad, to India late this month and to Japan in December.
To record evidence of the complainant in the trial against Gammanpila , Australian Brian Shaddick was summoned by the Colombo High Court to appear before it on 9th March 2017.
